What is Wegovy®?

Wegovy® is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that is FDA-approved for chronic weight management as well as to improve blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes. Providers also prescribe it off-label within a longevity framework.

How do you take Wegovy®?

Wegovy® is prescribed as either a once-a-week injection or a daily oral tablet. Follow the dosage instructions from your doctor. 

What are the side effects of Wegovy®?

Common side effects include nausea, loose stools, and stomach discomfort, particularly in the early weeks. These should settle as your body adjusts. Contact your doctor if side effects are persistent or bothersome.

Who shouldn’t take Wegovy®?
