What is Brenzavvy®?

Brenzavvy® (bexagliflozin) is an FDA-approved treatment for type 2 diabetes. Off-label, the broader SGLT2 inhibitor class has been associated with reduced cardiovascular and all-cause mortality in large studies of patients with diabetes and heart failure.

How to take Brenzavvy®

Brenzavvy® is an oral tablet. Take it once daily, when you wake up, with or without food. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

What are the common side effects associated with Brenzavvy®?

Common side effects include vaginal yeast infections, urinary tract infection, and increased urination. Increased hydration is important while your body adjusts to treatment. Contact your doctor if side effects are persistent or bothersome. 

Who shouldn't take Brenzavvy®?
